Congrats Kevin and Karyn!

April 8th, 2007

We are pleased to announce that our dear friends, Kevin and Karyn, had a healthy baby boy on Friday. We were in approach to John Wayne airport returning from St. Louis when “Baby Doots” was born.

Brief Post

March 24th, 2007

It has been too long since the last post. Sorry. We have been busy and will get everyone updated real soon. In the meantime, enjoy this video of Mike pushing Paige aorund in the stroller.

Paige Week 3

February 18th, 2007

Time is flying by.
Week 1: I had a week off
Week 2:I worked from home
Week 3: I crawled back into the office.

woo woo

Things are still going pretty well. Thanks everyone for all the gifts that have been pouring in. We really appreciate it and Paige certainly enjoys the wardrobe variety.

We had some friends over for the Super Bowl and that was a good time. Then later in the week Grandma and Grandpa T. came into town and have been helping us out around the house and in the kitchen. Angie’s aunt and uncle came down from Santa Monica with a great dinner. Uncle Chris stopped in to visit since he was town for business one last time before settling down in St. Louis (we’ll sure miss his visits, but he’s agreed to come visit us with Colin and Erin in the summers.

Paige had some firsts in the last couple of weeks.

  • first bath
  • first bottle feeding (that breast pump was a little scary)
  • first projectile poop (dad caught it before it hit the carpet)
  • Here is the latest set of pics.

    A Little Video

    February 3rd, 2007

What does Paige do besides sleep, eat, and ah, dispose of the food?

Not too much at this point, but here is a little sample.

    Back In the Saddle

    February 3rd, 2007

I was able to get out of bed today and get out on the new bike. It was cold (for California - 45 degrees) but the rainy season is approaching so I had to get out there while I could. Since Paige was up feeding at 05:00, I just stayed up rather than going back to bed and met up with the guys (Jim and Joe) at the HB pier at 07:30. We got about 29 miles in and hit some hills, but in the cold weather it is best not to push it too hard.

Here is my new ride. It performed quite well today.

    2nd Week with Paige

    February 2nd, 2007

Week two with Paige went pretty good. Mom, Dad, and Baby are all starting to get used to the feeding schedule.

Paige went to the Dr. today and she weighed in at 7 lbs. 15 ounces. Wow, almost an 8 pounder. So that means she has successfully climbed back up to her birth weight and surpassed it. Good job Mom and Baby on excellent feeding!

Here are some more pictures. Many of them show us sleeping. Sorry, but that is about all we’ve been doing lately, although Mike has been working from home this week to prepare for going back to the office next week.

    Baby Paige

We’re still trying to get our act together here for, but we wanted to get something up to announce baby Paige. She was born at 14:27 on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2007. The media guide has her listed at 7lbs, 6 ounces and 20″ in length.

You can view the first set of pictures on this shutterfly link.

Here is a little movie montage.

Here are some notes from Ang’s email:

Paige was kind enough to wait until after Days of Our Lives was over before she started her grand entrance. 8 )
    What a great daughter. HA!

(For those of you that don’t know I have been watching Days at the ripe young age of 5)

I have been getting a lot of questions about my labor and delivery so here goes:

  • Week 36 check up: I was 3 cm dilated feeling no pain
  • Week 37 check up: I was 4 cm dilated and still feeling no pain
  • Week 38 check up: I was 4.5 cm dilated and again no pain
  • 2 days before “due” date: 7 cm dilated and again…no pain
  • My Dr. didn’t want me walking around at 7 cm dilated-hey what did I know, I’ve never had a baby before…so Mike and I went home, ate some breakfast, put some more things in my bag-said goodbye to all of the animals Mike and I went to the hospital where I walked myself into the Labor and Delivery room. (9:30am)

The nurses could not believe that I was already 7 cm and walking with my luggage down the hall. So I get in the bed and get hooked up to the machine where my contractions are being monitored along with the baby’s heart beat. The nurse would ask if I felt that contraction and I would tell her “no”. (I was busy watching tv and apparently they were some hard contractions) Around ½ hour after my water was broken things changed-I went from a zero on the pain scale to a 10 in a matter of minutes. After 4-5 really hard contractions I got my epidural and it was happy times. After 3 hours it was time to push and in about 25 minutes baby Paige was born!

She is a great little baby-she loves to sleep like her mom and we had to set an alarm to get her up for feedings. She is getting on to a schedule and mom and dad sneak in naps during the day to keep us on our toes.

    December 28th, 2006

This is the first post in my area. I don’t have much to say right now and Brady is sitting in my way making it hard for me to type so I’ll leave it at that.

    Stay tuned…
